IT Senior Network Engineer

Overview

ACS Athens, a student-centered international school, embracing American educational philosophy, principles, and values, is seeking to hire a full-time Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, access points, firewalls, VPN, QoS);
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades;
  • Monitor performance and ensure network infrastructure availability and reliability;
  • Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning;
  • Propose security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team;
  • Responsible for analyzing IT/network specifications to assess security risks;
  • Design and propose safety measures and data recovery plans.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Team oriented;
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols;
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Proactiveness, accountability and results orientation.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology and related fields;
  • Cisco Networking Professional Certification (CCNP) and 2 years of experience in a CISCO networks engineer position;
  • 2 years of work in a position of responsibility;
  • Fluency in written and oral English and Greek;
  • Display commitment to safeguarding and protection of children.
