Let's talk Greek!

Instructor Eirini Antoniadou is eager to take you on a journey of discovery as you learn the Greek language.

Want to learn how to get on the right bus? Make sure that you arrive on the right island for your weekend getaway? Buy sugar instead of flour at the market? Ask someone if you can buy him/her a drink?

This course is designed for adults who wish to begin a formal study of the Greek language. Students will learn the Greek alphabet and to read and communicate in Greek. They will develop a practical vocabulary and learn basic grammar. Instruction will focus on everyday communication. The goal is to learn Greek while getting acclimated to life in Greece.

Meeting Days/Time:

  • Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00pm (face-to-face) *
  • Thursdays, 4:00-5:00pm (virtual, Big Blue Button)

Meeting Place: ACS Athens (Classroom to be announced)

  • October: 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27, 29
  • November: 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19
  • December: 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17 
  • January: 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28
  • February: 2, 4, 9, 11

    Virtual lessons

* Should at any time during the school year the school is required to close by the greek authorities, the sessions will continue on the same days and the same times however both sessions will be virtual through the BBB function of the moodle course.
