On the 16th of March 2012 the seniors who are taking science courses (Biology, Chemistry and
Physics) gathered up in the library at 9:00 am to work on their group 4 project. Groups were created that included students from all three disciplines. The topic of their investigation was Renewable Energy Sources.
The students then had about 3 hours to find a specific topic within this general framework and research this topic with the aid of books and resources in the net.
The interest that the students showed for this project has to be commended. It was impressive to see how they worked in groups and how each one made a contribution to the final “product”.
In the afternoon all the groups gathered in a class with a starboard and the projects were presented to other students and the faculty. The depth and rigor that was apparent during the presentations was more than impressive.
